An excruciating ascent. The highest possible level of difficulty, impossibly steep and challenging. But after all that...this view! I have to get a shot of this right now. But where is my camera? Oh, thank God! Here it is. What a thrill! What an unforgettable setting! It’s a good job that the XROC ensured that my camera equipment got here safe and sound.
An 85-metre deep volcanic crater with an active lava lake. The several hours that it took to get here over sand tracks and lava fields were well worth it. It’s also searingly hot here being so close to the 1,200°C hot lava. My personal belongings all made it up here safely though thanks to my XROC.
Ready for any
I’ve finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of angling against this backdrop. The huge bodies of water before me drop down to a depth of nearly 1,000 metres. And what an adventure it was getting here too: dirt tracks, potholes and torrents. Thank goodness nothing at all happened to my angling equipment.
Our expedition takes us into one of the hottest regions on the planet. Desert as far as the eye can see. Then suddenly we find ourselves in a dreaded sandstorm. Where is the person in front? Will we all make it safe and sound? Only one thing is safe right now, all thanks to my XROC: my emergency equipment.
