History & philosophy
How it all began
Founding of Robert Auer Kunststofftechnik in Kraiburg am Inn. At this time, products were produced and marketed exclusively for the horticulture industry. The shrub box was the first plastic box offered in the product range in 1991.
Shortly thereafter, production of thin-wall food pails began. In 1994, the classic “Euro container” became the first industrial box following development of the shrub box. The high-volume production of bottle crates in 2003 was a key driver of the company’s growth. Investments could then be made in the production of new products.
In the following years, the product range constantly expanded and existing products were developed further. Since 2008, AUER Packaging has also expanded internationally. In recent years, subsidiaries have opened in Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
AUER Packaging bought the technology park in Amerang in 2014. A large number of remodelling and construction projects have been conducted on this approximately 50,000 square-metre site since then.
With the opening of a second production hall, the company now has more than 3,000 square metres of production capacity with seven injection moulding machines.
Construction preparations are currently under way for a new logistics centre and a third production hall.
The new line of protective cases is launched with its own brand name: XROC. This is a first for the company.
